Note that the only game's assets for doors are at the side or back of a room leading to an illogical layout of the manor. :/
What do you mean? As in room locations are swapped around? Is that some kind of New Game + thing? Or is it some kind of glitch? Either way it's not about the rooms themselves, but more the pathways don't make sense.
You're both right, I just checked this and the door placement makes no sense, however you can get away with it if you imagine the rooms are lined up on the inner wall facing the courtyard and not the outer wall facing outside, which makes it that both the corridor and rooms are on the same side as each other, but of course that contradicts the official map...
EDIT: Actually, it still makes no sense, because the west corridor goes off in the wrong direction if you pretend the rooms are the same side as the south corridor, so yes the door is absolutely on the wrong side no matter what.
