really tho people who actually buy VSTs and not download them off the [ForbiddenWord] website, doubt they use steam. This seems like a huge investment for one VST.
FabFilter Saturn - 129 €
Filterscape - $129
PSP N2O - $149
etc.
This is the thing pro use. We also take the "quotes" with good humor (hence the video) but still it proves the point: Ohmicide is as good as audio FX gets. There is no doubt it's for commited musicians. It's a commited software to start with. Nearly three years in the making!...
OP is likely a kid
Or maybe I am. You can get Native Instruments Komplete for less than this, it's got 10 times the VST's including Guitar Pro and its an industry standard.
Sorry bro, I've been in the production industry for 2 decades, I've never heard of any of these VST's. It's just my opinion that you may be asking too much.
Speaking from over a decade of experience in pc music production....effin good deal.
If you don't think so, ok. Maybe look a little harder at what products are out there as far as professional tools go. I do understand having to stick with low budge productions. But seriously, this is not on the expensive side even in that situation. If you want cheap, there are plenty of free vst's on the net. And they mostly all do the same thing and make the same old digital fart sounds with different UI designs. (yes, that's exaggurating, there are some great free ones out there).
I personally love Native Instruments too. I would love to own all of what they have to offer but...I can't afford much of their stuff. More on that, Komplete has different packages. The cheapest one is still $200 unless you find a special deal or buy from some shady illegal dealer. So don't make incorrect statements to burn a good company bro.
My argument is not to prove that you should buy this for $130. If you don't want to pay that, great. Find something more you style. But don't blast a good product and great dev. Especially a co like this that has a more personal indie feel about them. I speak as one who's PC music production goes back to DOS SHELL. I have a problem obsessing over collecting lots and lots of vsts that I will never use. I have way too many. And Ohm products are definitely some of my fav in addiction to NI. The 2 top dogs as far as I'm conserned.
Anyway. Just putting it out there. My opinion is they are worth it. Yours is they are not. Ultimately who cares. Whatever you end up buying, make something cool with it. End of story. I have made a good chunk of change with my music in songs that I used their stuff in. Including a couple tv show theme songs. (not gonna say, you'll just have to believe me. hehehe) And my music is regularly used on various shows on MTV and played internationally. I honestly don't know most of the stuff but the ASCAP checks keep it under wraps (thankfully).
Best of luck to you.
