Don't believe I'll be joining a random fan discord for the game. There's simply no need for it.
There's no cause for moderation concerns here on the public Discussions page, and all new information about the game is going almost exclusively to GamesRadar via direct interviews with Andrew Gower, leading up to the release of the official website and the first launch of the game itself.

Until the game is actually launched, there's no need for immediate responses, or finding a party or anything else. Maintaining discourse here, in the public Discussions, is much easier to categorize and it helps keep the pulse and hype of the game by being active. New players may find the game on Steam and look to the Discussions page to learn more about it; if the Discussions page is abandoned, they will likely ignore the game for lack of community.

There's simply no logical reason to have a fan-group Discord for Brighter Shores.

The server is called "Brighter Shores Community," so I doubt it infringes on any ToS.

I'm in this community server. It is really pretty and outstandingly done. They even made their own graphics, using the green swirly icon, very professional staff from the few times I have talked with them in general chat.

Pretty weird server admins. Banned immediately after making a very harmless joke. Not offensive in any way or related to politics, etc. They got set over the edge over a bit of humor though or perhaps its the power of owning a Discord server for a game that has him so ban happy.


Would not recommend joining if you have even the slightest sense of humor. Wait for the official Discord.

Hi, great discord! Pretty welcoming, and happy vibes all around. The above user joined as trump and immediately started saying they were going to make a bot to hack on the game. I guess from their profile showing 1 game bans they were probably serious, ngl super trolly, glad the admins took care them before they could cause issues with the community.

Incredibly weird retelling of how it went down but I'll bite the bait / lies..


My name is and was Kamay. kamay4137 is my Discord. The joke was "can't wait to be the first bot and sell BSGP aka Brighter Shores GP"... I think I even did a praying emoji after.... a clear joke referencing the state of RuneScape for the past 2 decades.

Lets get real here, this Discord server is what some of the comments pointed out is the problem with non-official Discords; power-tripping admins. Saying I was "super trolly" is just confusing considering outside of that one joke my message(s) leading up to was how excited I was to play the game.

I'm a member and it is a good group all around so far. I would expect them not to let BS go on the server but all in all, it is a group of people who all can't wait for the game to release. It's well put together and i hope it continues to grow.
