Only third person? And metroidvania?

Was a huge fan of the first game. A little bummed out this seems to be third person since first person metroidvanias are so rare. But I also can't even tell if this is supposed to BE a metroidvania?

Is first person gonna be possible and is this a metroidvania or was that just kinda thrown out the window?

Yes, this game is either First-Person capable, or bust. Never been so excited for a sequel and then gut punched when looking closer due to yet more disappointing and entirely un-needed gameplay aesthetic changes.

It better have first person like the first game. I'm sorry but the third person looks too goofy and in all honestly like crap. One of the main reasons I liked the first game is the first person and how the combat felt with it.

Just saw the trailer and thought the same thing. It's going to be a hard sell without a first person view mode. That's a sure fire way to lose sales from us fans of the original.

Have to be honest, not feeling the trailer... I loved the first game but this just looks too different with the co-op focus, base building, third person view... I understand they want to show off the new features but it makes it look like a totally different game.

You can't just simply zoom in, add the weapon model to the lower right, move the crosshair to the middle of the screen and call it an FPS mode. There needs to be a "weapon feeling" with feedback and spread. The gameplay needs to be in line as well. To me it looks like they just took the "goofy" parts from the original and built a platformer, boring exploration and base-building game. What a disappointment.
