'Breathe in, don't choke' bugged?

Got to the Caves of Trrn and started stomping on the platforms so I can get to the room with the air filter, but stomping on the platforms causes the room to fill with gas which kills me before I'm able to get to the room with the hungry trees.

Am I missing something obvious or is this bugged?


Edit: Managed to get to the rail grind that takes you in to the room but I cannot interact with it. Room is bugged. Extremely frustrating.



Edit 2: Never mind, figured it out, what was actually bugged was the quest marker taking you in to the room (I confused which room I needed to go to). The quest marker did not load for either me or my CooP partner.


For anyone else who ends up in this situation - you need to teleport to the Caves of Trrn and immediately run left and run down the cave entrance.
