Grab a friend and blast-off in May with exclusive limited-time Steam launch perks. Purchase Revenge of the Savage Planet within the first month of launch to receive the Trash Panda Suit and a bonus copy of Journey to the Savage Planet. This buy-one-get-one bundle is only available on Steam and for the first month of launch." you should get a "bonus copy" or "buy-one-get-one bundle"? The wording is really confusing. Do I buy one bundle and get a 2nd bundle free or do I just get another copy of the game free to gift?
You get another copy of the FIRST game "JOURNEY to Savage planet". Not this game "REVENGE to Savage Planet"
So because its only part of a bundle, you can't buy it for anyone but yourself (as per the topic of this discussion).
Kind of funny, because they actually would have made even more sales if they just sold the game, and not bundled it. So many people were willing to gift this game to a friend, just to play coop.
they must think making an Extra $20 because they bundled it, was worth it, and clearly a good amount of people are not happy about it.
This is more of a Steam problem than a developer problem, since steam blocks you from purchasing a bundle for other than yourself.
I get that it would have made sense for the devs to include a separate single buy option, but for the time being the core issue is steam side and the developers possibly hadn't considered a problem like this occurring- we just don't know whether the devs knew of this limitation.
Our best bet is to make noise and bring attention to the issue; I imagine Raccoon Logic will be happy to rectify the issue once they understand why this problem exists for their current arrangement of purchase options as it does very much affect their bottom line.
Then why do they say you get a "bonus copy" and a "This buy-one-get-one bundle" on the store page? It's super confusing if I just need to buy 2 copies so be it. They don't need to tell people you'll get a free copy and not give it to you.
