I think it's a game, garbage console port with no settings, they only have FSR since consoles are AMD based and this was probably required to have stable FPS.
You can't even rebind keys in this "game". It's probably UE 5 game, so no excuse there.
What a joke...
but the steam one works perfectly great
runs very well
and looks really good, no blurness no weird artifacting.
is it possible that yall just dont have a nvidia gpu that can support the newer DLSS?
You might be onto something here.
They probably knew GamePass version is trash, since reviews are disabled for that.
Not a single person posted a positive or negative review and game is out like for 5 hours.
you can play crossplay with steam + gamepass
so I assume its the same version
again maybe the lack of DLSS is cuz your nvidia gpu is outdated and does not support DLSS
I also already wrote that I had DLSS available in the STEAM version, but not in the GAME PASS version.
I simply searched for the word DLSS in the relevant (.exe) file & it was found in the STEAM version, but not in the GAME PASS version.
The strange thing is that in the Plugins folder (GAME PASS version), the subfolder DLSS & the relevant (.dll) file are present, but the XeSS folder, which is present in the STEAM version too, is missing.
I firmly believe that this (DLSS & XeSS) will be patched later, but I can't explain why it wasn't included from the start.
Perhaps IndianaJones's idea is a step in the right direction & the GAME PASS version is essentially the XBOX version of the game, since the PlayStation controllers of the last two generations (PS4/PS5) should also work, but they don't.
Regarding the feature of leaving ratings in GAME PASS, I think that it always takes a while for new (in GAME PASS released) games to have this feature.
I have a 5060ti 16gb, so the problem isn't the gpu.
Seems that even Lords of the Fallen 2.0 on GP is missing the dlss (didn't try it, just read about on reddit), let's hope is just an error and not a planned "un-feature"
[SystemSettings]
Towers.UpscalingMethod=1
Towers.DLSS.Quality=4
Towers.DLSS.FG.Enabled=1
Towers.Reflex.Mode=1
I might have the name wrong though, so you may have to change the towers name, but it's the same fix that was required for oblivion remastered when upscaling stopped working.
Thanks for your feedback. Sadly I think that gamepass put the settings in encoded form into C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\Packages\, for clair obscure at least they were there.
The game, at least for me, doesn't worth all this thinkering. If they'll patch it ok, otherwise I'll find other ways to play it properly
Same issue here.
Heads up I found it:
C:\Users\****\AppData\Local\RevengeOfTheSavagePlanet\Saved\Config\WinGDK\Engine.ini
The fact it's not in there Day 1 tells you everything you need to know about MS and GP.... we pay for sub-par releases, time and time again.
