game wont load on steam i click on it and than nothing

I wanted to get all the items/weapons and armors in the game before progressing to the next area but jeez Gold is so hard to come by, I get like 20 gold per battle if I'm lucky.. I farmed the Gold Scorpion and got 11k in the first area, the second area I skipped a few items, now onto the third area and where does the Gold come from.. Seems like a daunting task trying to save up enough for the achievements......

Unfortunately I entered this fight with little revive potions so just like to know what is best strategy for victory. Any useful spells or items or equipment to use would be helpful. Also, what is the best party? Thanks much.
