wasd control scheme? how do i switch to it
okay, ive looked and i can not for the life of me find the option to switch to a wasd control scheme. this is a big problem, how am i supposed to move with my left hand (arrow keys) and use the mouse with my right hand... its very akward and just feels uncomfortable.

i know i can probably move just by clicking places, but i much prefer actually moving with the wasd buttons.

Wouldn't it be better if you navigated through the menus with the arrow keys and used them for everything? That's what I do; when the navigation with them is well implemented, I find it even faster than with the mouse.

navigate the interface and menus with the mouse, moving with wasd is far more natural for me. having to use the arrow keys to do it is just akward and uncomfortable.

Its much easier to navigate through game without using mouse at all (arrows, z and x).
Anyway, in RPGMaker games F1 remaps the controls, but good luck figuring what is what.

Use the Arrow Keys and Z and X. Boom, there are your controls, right there.

That's quite awful for European keyboards though. Our Z button is where your Y button is (and of course our Y button is where your Z button is).

Personally I like playing RPGMaker games using WASD to move, and arrow buttons are my action and cancel buttons. No mouse.

Also I haven't played Skyborn yet, but if the game doesn't have rebindable keys in the menu then developer didn't really do a good job, especially considering the game's cost. That's one of the very basic options that every single game made for PC should have.

It's the first time I heard of a qwerty variant like that, and I knew even strange distributions like Dvorak, Colemak or Hcesar :pontius:.

It's QWERTZ keyboard layout. It's very common in central Europe.

ya ive found this to be in most all of these types of games, Arrow keys Shift and Z or E as a use key, some games offer mouse support, which is nice, To be honest with i could hook up a NES or SNES controler sit back and just enjoy. PNote some games have option and you can auto dash it helps, i was holding Shift and arrow keys forever hated it now a lot easyer

Start the game, then go into windowed mode (alt+enter), then press F1. There is the option to rebind the keys but it is very limited & also cryptic. You have to look up a guide what each key does.

In my next post I said QWERTZ is common in CENTRAL Europe. By looking at your steam profile I see you're from Portugal, which is if I'm not mistaken South-Western Europe.

yep i found this out as i beat the game

F1 is the option menu

Yeah, when the batteries in my gamepad died and I didn't have any spares charged I originally wanted to set the game up for WASD+Mouse. I found the F1 setup menu... but then I just said "NOPE" after not being able to make head or tails of it and just used arrows+Z/X. Works very well. I dunno what the heck is up with that menu, though. People shouldn't code drunk.

it seems all the RPGMarker games are set up like that, there more keyboard than mouse, and you can never rebind keys that well. ya in the new age imho it should be WSAD = movement, Enter or E for Action like a chest and Backspace or ESC for menu
