Edit: Picked the game up here, and the Linux port is running as well as the original did, from what I recall, in WIndows 7. Very nice work!
I believe this is the plan, however the main developers are extremely busy with their new game atm. so it might take a while.
BTW, it doesn't have the SteamOS icon / system requirements on the front page so people won't know about this port unless they search the forum.
Yeah, it defaults to fullscreen, but it never changes your display resolution, so you can easily tab between other stuff on your desktop.
The SteamOS icon thing should be fixed now, I had noticed it too but thought it was a Steam caching issue. Just right now realized that it was my own fault haha.
But I just bought it but it doesn't install anything for me. I tried restarting Steam, validating, etc. No beta to opt into either. Can you check out if something is messed up on the backend now that the icon is fixed? Heh.
No, fixing the store page shouldn't have affected anything on the Steamworks side. What happens if you try launching the game? Does it even show as installed (non-transparent name in library)?
It showed it's installed (instantly - no actual download) and lets me try to Play but it would just say Missing Executable. That was yesterday, though.
Right now I am working and I installed it on my work PC. It downloaded and plays fine here... I will try again on my gaming PC tonight.
I use the latest Steam beta client, in Big Picture mode, on my gaming PC, and it would act like it installed the game, but had not downloaded anything. Verifying the game files did nothing. I went into Desktop mode, and tried installing there - same thing. But, when I went into Properties and verified the game files from there, it worked... Seems to be a bug perhaps with Steam Big Picture's verify files functionality.
EDIT: Works wonderfully on Linux. Heck, even better for some odd reason. The Steam interface did not work on Windows but it does know. Also, now I'm able to take screenshots directly from Steam, whereas on Windows pressing F12 wasn't of use. Again, thanks so much, dev!
The game is great so far though!
