Huh. I know I'm like 10+ years late on reviewing this, but, yeah, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ solid, even today. Follows right in the DW tradition, has a ton of characters, weapons, stories, alternate paths you can unlock by doing missions correctly, etc. Not a perfect game, by any means, but hours and hours of fun. I haven't even finished probably half of the story missions with the ~120 hours actual played time I have in it. (I know it says 170, but I am bad and leave my system on far more often than I should.)

This game and Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate are honestly the best 2 games of this particular style on steam right now. If you're looking for Dynasty warriors action - These 2 games are for sure your choices.

Dynasty warriors has always been a classic if you had it as a kid - but lets be honest, DW7 runs poorly these days on newer computers and Dw9 was just a dumpster fire of a release. Highly recommend this one for nostalgia and endless fun. The ambition mode is actually really fun as well, but it does get grindy.
I personally never had controller issues like some reviews mentioned-- But there's plenty of guides to fix the controller setup on steam that only takes 5-10 minutes of your time. However keyboard is definitely janky.

if you're an achievement hunter like myself - Lets just say it's gonna take a while. I'm still quite far from 100% after 77 hours and that says a lot for how much the game offers.
