The missions in HW are in Story Map Mode and Challenge Mode, but in DW8, they're in Story and Free Modes.
The number of weapons you have isn't based on a certain type and instead on the total number of weapons you have.
The abilities are different and there is no ability tree in DW8.
Each character only has one sig weapon, but everyone can use any kind of weapon and you always have two with you in battle in DW8.
Way more characters and costumes in DW8.
Mounts in DW8.
Swimming DW8!
No yellow opponents/allies in Stages. They're all either red or blue in DW8.
You can combine weapons and abilities in Ambition Mode DW8, instead of Story Mode.
Tell that to GTA games before San Andreas :3
But DW8 still has alot going since already over 30 hours but only done 3 kingdoms (Shu, Wu, and Lu Bu) and just got the Emperor on Ambition but still got lots to do. And pretty much any WArriors game is a great hop-on, even though have seen in the newest one that stages are quicker then some past ones.
It is possible he like Hyrule Warriors due to the fact that it based on Legend of Zelda and it something new and refreshing to Warriors series. Playing Dynasty Warriors can be tiresome specially that it have the same story in every series (Expect DW1, that is just a fighting game)
Anyway back to the topic. This game is different than other Warriors Series. One thing that I don't like the game is that it hard to play as co op. There is some stages that is slowed to crawl like Liberation of the Triforce stage. Holy hell, that is really killing the WiiU processor. Bless the WiiU is trying to make it smooth by lowering the FPS but It is painful to slowly press the button for the combo in that stage. Another thing about this game is that I rarely focus spirit (Rage Mousu) because they don't gain through kills, only picking up the green jar. And I noticed the enemy is tad cheating in some part. Like Fi for example, she apparently spamming the focus spirit special attack. I am looking at my teammate and wondering how the heck she have infinite special attack with focus spirit and she not even in Focus spirit mode. And like C4 and C5, she magically got to that combo without doing the rest of the combo. I wonder KT overlooking this?
I like DW, they are more honest than HW
Kind of an odd thing to pick on when the concept is as ubiquitous to video games as screaming teenagers are to social networks.
I do know that all computer does cheat in a certain way. Heck DW does too. Just what HW does is so obvious right in your face for some character in that way does every possible way to cheat like spamming final attack without going full combo. in DW so far what I experienced have so far done not that much. I can spot cheating and willing to let it go since it didn't do that often while HW does it so often and what the point to play the game while it like to rely on the cheating side on the hard difficulty. I can understand doing it during on easy mode but Hard and Hero, they just spam happily. It like KT is not putting enough effort into HW
if you like Musou series genre (hack-slash massive mobs) then u will like any series koeitec make...
i believe most people like it anyway,as it so refreshing beating mass mobs
now if we speak about DW8 and hyrule...
people that playing hyrule warriors probably zelda-fans, which maybe not interested much in historical based romance of three kingdom... but i think thats not a problem
DynastyWarrios is koeitec parent series, i mean before there SengokuMusou, and others, koeitec make dynastywarriors first...while this not always good, but DW have more characters than any other musou series and koeitec putting more battle system while keeping it different from other series
the only people that might not interest in DW8, is that the people that playing Hyrule warriors for sake Zelda titles, and not really like the game either (hack-slash genre)
This is the reason why one of my friend whom a die hard Zelda fan brought this game because it have the theme of LoZ. He did told me that this game will keep him busy because I warn him that it is a really long game. Fast forward to now, he whining that the game taking too long to complete. I told him I played since DW6 and I am used to this longevity. He is not used to working so hard to get everything in the game.
