DW8:E PS3 Port?
So iv read on these forums that the game will be a PS3 port although this is unconfirmed and google provides no answers. So hypothetically, if the game is gonna be the PS3 port, why PS3 and not PS4? The PS4 is x86 while the PS3 is uhhh "cell" wouldent PS4 be the easier port?

They probably don't have enough "faith" in the PC community yet to be making a proper PC port with the best graphics and online mods.
based on the benchmark software released, same as PS3 version. though I'm not into graphic, so it doesn't bother me much.

I bet it's more like DW8 sales somehow convinced them that they can shove low quality crap and still bring in the money. If they bring a PS3 port, I regret buying their DLCs. If they are going to treat PC customers as fools then they won't be getting my money. I paid about 150$ for DW8 and DLCs and Steam had the game on top of list in sales, with non-discounted prices, for weeks since release. I don't buy the argument that they aren't making enough for a good port.

The way I see it, the PC port of DW8E was probably already in production by the time post-mortem season for DW8XL rolled around. There's absolutely no way Koei of all companies could be agile enough to actually react to DW8XL sales with DW8E. Sure, they probably had an abort point somewhere in development where they'd check their sales expectations for DW8XL against reality, but apart from that, I don't think the full next gen port was ever on the table for this one.

If that is the case then ok but regardless the (hopefully) next game must be the PS4 port if not built for PC.

There's also OPPW3. Let's see if that one is also going to be a PS3 port or not.

Yup, fully agreed. That's what I count on as well.

Funny you should say that. I remember many thinking the same thing when DW8:XLCE was out and people began making the excuse that "yeah, DW8:E will definitely be the next gen port as DW8:XLCE is just testing the waters..."

Not to get you too excited, but a little birdy revealed to me that the recent beta patch for DW8XL contained some very interesting changes. After checking on SteamDB's history it really did seem like there was over 1 GB worth of changed and/or added data in the .bin files that are used to store the game's models and textures...

The reason is usually because japanese PC gamers have ♥♥♥♥ PCs.
