Aside from doing a clean graphic drivers install with the latest driver (Custom Installation, only selecting the driver and PhysX) not sure what else you can try.
The GPU works differently when in full screen and Windowed.
Example: in Full Screen the GPU is being continuously accessed so the GPUs Clocks dont lower, When in Windowed mode the GPUs clocks are raised when the game is the active window and then when you Alt Tab away from the game the clocks lower to Idle/2D/Power save mode, then when you switch back to the game the clocks raise back to normal.
So that could explain the momentary lapse in FPS when switching between windows.
If thats the case, then its actually normal for it to act this way.
If any game gives you that kind of problem where the clocks dont raise when they are supposed to, either because of you alt tabbing or because the display driver crashes(Display Driver Crashing will give the same effect as what you encountered above) you can use either MSI Afterburner or eVga Precision to fix the Clocks/Driver crash.
Just run the program once or twice and that should reset the clocks.
Are you by any chance using any kind of compatibility mode ?
Also the lines in cutscene come from the dynamic shadow being ♥♥♥♥ and are also present in the ps3 version
So I just put Post FX on low and now I get no more slow downs after pausing. I barely notice the difference in quality.
just makes things more shiny, colorful n such, a feature i dont like in games as i think it looks better disabled.
