What does ''Forage'' do?

The bodyguar skill?
I've tried doing it many times,but it seems it never gives me anything. I tried going to the specified location, and even when it clearly says the skill has been executed, I receive nothing, and thre doesn't appear to be a box or anything on the ground at the spcified location.

Does it automatically give you extra weapon or some such at the end of the battle or something?

Think its supposed to give you building and weapon materials but it dosent work everytime, far as i know atleast.

It works but I believe the person can't get to places that a gatekeeper is standing in front of. Also the alert of the stuff you get is really subtle.
