Can't play using Keybord + Mouse ?

What is the point of making a PC port if you're forced to play with a controller anyway?

Can i bind stuff to my mouse ? I mean, turn screen left/right, strong attack/normal attack, stuff like that. If i can't use my mouse it's just gamebreaking for me :'(

No, i mean ... If you're REALLY, REALLY used to playing with a mouse ( like me ) this game it's just broken, because you can't use your mouse, i think the game even disables it because you can't bind ♥♥♥♥ to it. It's basically saying: YOU SHALL NOT MOUSE PLAY THIS, GTFO ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

So yeah, back to Dark Souls 2 for me, the keyboard/mouse controls suck, but at least you can edit it or use autohot.

I'm really used to playing with a mouse and I've never even tried playing a game with only the keyboard. But I decided to give this game a good try on the keyboard, and I actually think they work nicely. I learned them in 5 or so minutes, no problem.

Why do you people always ♥♥♥♥♥ about keyboard+mouse controls on a console port? Almost every console port in the last few years is that way and it's not going to change. The games were originally designed for a controller and most developers are not going out of their way to put a lot of time in kb+m controls. The 360 controller becoming a standard is likely one of the reasons we even get as many console games ported over to the pc as we do at all.

You can't use a mouse but you don't need it anyhoo. Unless your mouse has dozens of buttons, I'd go far as to say you'd be putting yourself at a disadvantage.

Agree. I was a mouse/kb elitist until a couple years ago I bought a xbox 360 controller. Now I always prefer to play with the controller.

It's much easier (and healthier) to buy a controller and try to adapt than to complain on the forums of every console port released for the PC.

Well, ok then. Sorry for bothering the foruns. I guess some people just like to be cheated. Buy a full price ''PC'' game and be forced to use console peripherals. No problem.

What's the problem in redefining your keyboard controls and just playing on keyboard?
Camera controls, as in other DW games, are hardly even needed. And without those it's very comfortable 2-handed play with only keyboard.

My keyboard has far more keys than any controler and with the shift, control and alt keys it has the ability to map tens of thousands of key combos.

Mouse control for the camera, left and right buttons for the most common attacks, q and e for special attacks... not hard here. If you are going to spend the money to port something to the PC, put the effort into PC controls.

Unless and until a patch takes the controls upto the standard of PC gaming, I'd stay away from this.

For the same reason any conso This is a game that can and will work just fine with Mouse control. In fact for someone like me who spends most of his gaming time on his PC(I also have DW8 on Ps3) I guarantee I'll do better with a mouse. The simple fact is that this is a lazy, shoddy port riddled with poor pc design, abdundant crashes and errors and basic features not implemented(online co-op) with poor graphics for the power that pc offers. It's insane to believe that just because so many developers don't expend any resources on making the game work for the target audience that we should just shut up about it. They don't get a pass just because everyone else is doing it.

My mouse already has 8 keys, double thast with a modifier. Not to mention my keyboard with the entire alphabet, ctrl, alt and shifty modifers and a numpad. The mouse is for aiming/camera/main action button anyways.
