Which story faction to start first?

So as a noob who doesn't know much about DW I was wondering what you guys thought of the factions and which would be the best to start.

are there factions in this one like in 4 or does every character have its own story ?

Factions but Lu Bu has his own.
Shu Wei then Wu.

Factions in this one. Big difference from 4 is that you are not free to choose *Any* character. You have the freedom to choose from 3 I believe. At least this was how it was on console.

Kingdoms, but in each battle you get to choose one of 3 characters to use which is nice, keeps it a bit more focused while giving you options on who to use.

To the OP, I'd say start with Shu.

There;s Lu Bu,Wei,Jin,Shu and Wu story mode.The order based on how last they end is Lu Bu,Wei,Shu,Wu and {LINK REMOVED}Jin.In my opinion the best one to start is Shu stage as they also unlocked Yellow Turban Stage,Play that stage on free mode as Yellow Turban and you can have a mass general and troop to level up and get many weapon.

I start with Shu since Xu Shu is my new favorite character. Lu Bu is strong so that might be a good one to start with.

I think character count wise Wu I think still edges out everyone with Lu Bu's faction having the least, though it sounds like everyone is unlocked in free mode. If it is like the PS3 version you can have story progression saved for each group so feel free to start one and try than stop and try the others after a stage or two.

Looks like Shu is winning. Think I'll start with them, but trying them al as kx suggested sounds like a good way to go.

Whichever one you choose don't choose Jin until last, without giving spoilers Jin's story arc pretty much wraps up the story of the game.

its always been wei, wu, Shu, Jin

always start with Shu, then Wu -> Wei -> other factions

Shu ends with wu zhang plains which is basically the begining of jin. So shu is 2nd last

Start with Lubu first.

By the time you finish Lubu story you'll have decent weapons for characters of other factions, and if you need something, you could always comeback to Lubu's last stage to buy stuffs.
