Keyboard and Mouse support.

Okay, I read on this forum when the game first came out that it didn't have keyboard and mouse support. Can someone clarifiy for me? Does it have it, or will I need to buy a gamepad on top of buying this?

keyboard support, yes.

It has keyboard support. I personally found them workable, though I vastly prefer a controller.

It has keyboard support but I recommend a controller. Its the way its meant to be played an well... its just so much better imo. Especially if you've played past DW games on console like me you'll be right at home with the controller.

`The only thing making me reluctant on purchasing this game is the lack of mouse controls.

I even tried searching for a program that would convert mouse displacement into keyboard strokes, for the sole purpose of playing this game on Mouse+keyboard.... but I didn't find any.

Anyone has any suggestion for a program I could use?

Can be gamepad emulator, macro, anything.



PS: Please, don't post "I suggest you to buy a gamepad"... even though I can buy one, I always preferred playing games on mouse + keyboard. It's a personal preference.

There is no mouse support because this game has minimal camera controlling and a minimal need for said camera controlling. Personaly playing on keyboard I just use block button to center camera behind me and that's all I need.

I have been considering something else. If you have a good mouse, like a gamer's mouse, you can actually make it work. Many (if not all) gamer's mice allow for button binding, so you can bind all the butting to the basic DW8 commands, in essense, using the mouse to do what the kb is doing, so you would only need to use the KB to move, and do all attacks, musous, etc. with the mouse.

I have a MMO7 mouse, so knowing just how many bindings you can do, it might actually work. I would still use the controller though. If the game is ported from PS, you might as well use the best thing PS has to offer a gamer...

Keyboard for player 1. No mouse support at all. Xbox 360 controller support for player 2 only.

I bought myself a gamepad for this, and after figuring out the mapping and ♥♥♥♥, I was able to get it working perfectly. Thanks everyone for the information.

I removed my Razor deathstalker Ultimate keyboard and un-Installed the Razor synapse software and now I can use the controller for player 1, The keys now remap fine. The game thought my keyboard was a game pad LOL. Thank you to the people that tried to help me.

I'm glad that you managed to solved the problem :). It would be nice of you if you could help others with similar hardware as well to avoid spamming every controller problems thread
