Why is the war elephant so useless?

Anyone else feel this way?
It is just an absolute chore to get it, 100 battles in a row on ambition mode, not even fun since the weapons you get every 5 stages even on 95 are nothing special either.
When I saw the stats of the elephant, 130 speed I was like, meh but expected.
Then the power 500, wow surely that must do something.
But it does nothing. Sure you walk over enemies but so does the red hare and way faster plus your own attacks while riding do dmg. The dmg the war elephant does is pretty much nothing and you can't attack on your own.
The only pro of the war elephant is that you can't get knocked by officers but you still take damage so why would you even want to stay on?

It's just so dissapointing because I was really hoping to be able to wreck large groups of enemies with but this elephant is pretty much like climbing the tallest mountain only to be kicked off right away without getting to see the view.

I remember having it on DW4 and it was really luck getting it since it appeared in a secret box on a certain level. It was kinky as you could kill enemies instantly and in large groups.

Consider it more of a trophy, rather than... you know, something useful.

If it were a trophy for doing something very hard like a fast time in a certain stage or w/e sure, but 100 stages is just doing the same thing over and over.
