Who are your Top Three Officers?

I know most people may have one, and say Lu Bu, So I wanted to hear peoples thoughts on top three.

After 80+ hours, I love Zhang Laio, His long pick axes just rip things up around him. And if an officer is in front of him, his Mouso charge just wipes them out. Only thing that drives me nuts is in ambition mode when he is the lord. Everytime he claims a base he says "I claim a base for my lord." But he is the lord......

Then Zhong Gui, His flying swords caught my intrest in story mode. Overall they hit weak, but nice Area attack. You can use elemental buffs and range buffs to make a nice weapon. And his Mouso attack seems much more intense then Lu Bus could ever be. While Lu Bu can get everything in front of him, this guy gets everything around him. Sometimes he even locks his attack on an officer. Gis chains go for 1000-3000+. insane. And unlike Zhang laio, When this guy claims a base or defends it, love his line. "If anyone tries to flee, I will personaly exacute them!"



So what about you all? Who do you like and Why

Zhang Liao's up there for sure. The self buffing on Dual Axe switches and the light, light, light, heavy combo are just sweet.

Liu Bei is pretty solid. Only really used him a little in the Shu story but he moveset seemed decent and fun to use.

And that lass with the throwing knives... Yuanji?... Got a 4002 hit combo just spamming light attacks :D
Rubbish against bosses though... Not enough stagger power... If that's a thing

Guo Jia, and Zhou Tai, mostly because their weapons are awesome.

Xu Shu : good reach and area on his charges, I also really like his personality and appearance as well
Zhong Hui : Like other "weaker" characters the damage from his swords seem to be per hit so having some moves where 5 hit that is a lot of damage. His appearance is cool though his personality can get boring fast.
Wang Yi : Great burst damage, her appearance isn't bad, good to see actual armor on a female character and it is really cool not to hear her talking about how she doesn't want to fight or is only fighting to protect the guy she loves. She is out for blood.

Her level 5 daggers annihilate officers, incredible character when you have them. She just builds so much meter and does so much damage.

My top picks have always been:

Xiahou Dun, there is no real weak point for him I think he is just an all around solid character with excellent musou attacks espeicially his standing normal. That thing will crowd clear better than any other.

Zhou Tai, I feel he is just unstoppable if played correctly because his attacks are so fast and his standing musou is a literal blender. His new EX attack is great for set ups as well since it causes anyone hit to be frozen in time for awhile.

Zhang Fei, He was my go to character in DW7 and now that he has his original weapon back from Warriors Orochi 3 he is even better than he was in 7. His attacks are powerful and he gets an attack boost now from one of his EX making him one of the hardest hitting officers in the game. I also love his musuo finisher where he grabs their legs and spins them around like a drunk ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

My faves have always been (since DW5):
Sun Ce (cuz, come on, tonfas are cool)
Cao Pi (cuz, come on, double sided swords are cool)
Zhao Yun (cuz... spears are cool too?)

Of course, Lu Bu is a given because he can absolutely wreck

DaQaio - I love those pugil sticks so much, faster than a horse with A + Y (360 pad) spam and they do massive combo damage.

Yue Jin - Those hookblades are so cool, I love using them.

Liu Bei - Twin Blade dash attack clears packs of mobs like they're nothing when you have his level 5 weapon, I love his grab attack (C5 or 6 I think?) and his Alternate Musou is badass.

Special Mention:Zhou Tai - I love his weapon more than the character, but there's no doubt he's coolest guy in the series, he has an Iaito styled Katana for gods sakes, also you can spam A + X and move as fast as Red Hare, so much fun.

Top three? That would make one for every kingdom for me :3

Ma Chao: When it comes to Shu spearmen, he just appeals more to me than Zhao Yun. His look and personality is more to my taste, and I have more fun with his moveset, which IMO has gained some neat additions in this iteration*.
And though it's not the case anymore, he was quite refreshing back in the day when he was one of the few officers to focus his mounted attacks on one side. Made pestering people easier.

Xiahou Dun: He just very stylish with a cool weapon and a neat moveset whose hits have a satisfying weight to them, but still come out quite fast.

Zhou Tai: A badass through and through. His moveset wasn't quite as versatile as the above two's when he first appeared, but this newest iteration* added some awesome new attacks. Heck, even spamming his Switch Attack is fun.

Zhang Jiao: His musou is divine, destroys everything in ultimate, and is spammable.

Xu Shu: Practically lives in rage mode because he can fill so quickly.

Lianshi: Can one-shot a hyper Lu Bu in ultimate difficulty.

hehe just like xu shu because his air combo is almost infinity just like when he got so much attack control when get in the air but mess you up on low difficulty because it pertty much cancel his air combo if one unit dies too early that your targeting

Chen Gong (Something about his crazy personality is fun), Zhang Liao (Old favorite), Zhao Yun (Another old favorite).

In my opinion, Zhao Yun (He are brave and loyal with idealism, I like a warriors equipped with spear), Wang Yuanji (I don't know why, but She is beautiful, I like her rage when she was fighting), and last Sima Yi (I like him way to reform Wei and fighting).

Nice, Sadly I feel Zhao Yun, while cool can't handle a spear as well as Jaing wei, or that wei yun guy in Jin story. And Ma chao maybe not as cool using it, but he looks better.

Yue Jin is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ killing machine. His mousu attacks, good lordy. Add on the havoc skill and he can level hundreds of soldiers in one move.
Guo Jia's black hole mousu is also an amazing crowd control attack. It is also fun to watch.

Lu Bu is cool but I feel cheap using him sometimes.

Zhou Tai and Lu Linqi are pretty cool though. Haven't really played a lot yet
