Admittedly the early game kind of sucks sense u only have your characters base Musou attack instead of all 3 and u still need to unlock all of your different combos for each character, or at-least the ones u care about. Also ambition is a grind-fest. "sigh".
This games story is more light-hearted & doesn't take itself as seriously as 7 did, for better & for worse. I will say 17$ isn't a bad deal for the amount of content here but that really does depend on u.
I tried it for a while and it was fun at first but I guess mowing down NPCs isn't exactly my kind of game. Maybe I'll try it again in the future.
