Transfer PC save to Steam Deck
Anyone else tried this before? We have the save files on PC located on the Documents folder, anyone knows where is it located on the Steam Deck?

Actually found the save folder on the Steam Deck here:

/home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/278080/pfx/dosdevices/c:/users/steamuser/Documents/TecmoKoei/Dynasty Warriors 8/Savedata/

I keep trying this and the damn thing won't work right. I copy it over and the save just starts from scratch each time. It's extremely frustrating and I wish they would just take the ten minutes to add Steam Cloud instead of having to fight with Linux.

I can't even transfer save at all. I found my old one and tried to save it over. Just doesn't happen. I'm a bit gutted because it was hundred's of hours worth of game play.

I tried it as well and it didn't work.
However, I noticed that it has a protocol that prohibits it. I also try to find the way to work around but no luck. I believe it requires it like an administrator mode in Window to do it however I had a no luck since I am not familiar with Linux.
Damn just noticed the same issue here as well. Copied the save I downloaded from steam Cloud to the savadata folder on Linux and nothing, still has to restart from the scratch...

Steam cloud sync is buggy, try turning it off when you move over your save data. Save data goes in the same place as on windows, as NutzG wrote.
Yeah turns out I backed up the wrong save files lol. It is not the bunch of savedata.bin files inside my documents, but only that single save.dat file.

Is it still not possible to do this?

it's possible, I managed to do following the path the first comment wrote. Just be sure to copy over the right files.
But you're a step behind lol, Origins is out already XD

Thanks I managed to do it with KDE. I will get origins when the price drops :)
