Ambition Mode (Post-Tongquetai) Question

As is explained, when ally officers are defeated in Subjugation battles, they desert you and you have to find and beat them senseful (not senseless) again. Thus far, I've been using only generic officers to avoid losing any playable officers.

My question is:

Are playable officers more effective than generic officers? Are they more durable against Subjugation mode's love for randomly causing your officers to flee?

They are not more durable at all. How long they survive without your involvement depends on the morale. (Lu Bu usually gets run down easily by generic officers even at half morale status)

...and that's pathetic. Good thing I never use playable officers in my Subjugation battles bc officers (aside from bodyguards) in general pretty much useless.
