Then take your favorite one, start ambition mode and farm, farm farm .
With the academy at max level, you can reach lv100+ for about 220K gold.
Also if you're only interested in farming weapons, having a "killer weapon" is more important than your char level.
I "invested" in a Pike with Slash/Flash/Cyclone/Velocity/Explosion/Induction at Lv10 and I use it with any char to get their 5th and 6th weapons, even at lv30 .
Of course, you need to play ambition mode to unlock the Weapon Fusion ability to create these kind of weapons.
The reason they KT did that was because so many people complained about the opposite in the previous DW games.
Quick Learner : +5% boost to EXP gain per level, +100% at max level.
Victory Cry/Fortune Hunter : might help you getting more and better EXP scrolls.
Sprint - Growth : +10% boost to EXP gain, no need to be on horse either, just equip it for effect.
Assistance - Growth - When animal/bodyguard defeat enemy, there is chance EXP scroll drops.
Academy sounds nice but it become available later half of Ambition mode, plus they eat up lots of golds and materials. Supplement with skill/animal/bodyguard for easier leveling.
I really like Brimstone's Wrath. It's almost like a joke weapon!
Increasing the difficulty is almost a must once you reach a certain level if you want to gain enough EXP to level up. Of course, the level and difficulty scales are pretty balanced, so there's no real problem in that.
