I'm personally very curious about the live-action shows :3

Speaking of live-action, John Woo's "Red Cliff" (aka "Battle of Chibi: The Movie") is the bomb. Get yourself the sub-only complete version (2 parts for a total of 5ish hours) if you can XD

Normally I would reject long movies, but watching a movie/show about these histories/stories is just interesting. No matter what ill get giddy, like 'Oh its Cao Cao' I wonder whats hes gonna do now, yeah arogant yeah suits you cao cao :P

If you go online for liek $25-40 dollars you can get a cd pack of the 85 episodes of ROT#K in chinese sub English. I watched it all. Bought in Hong Kong. Its quite good. But each episode is like 50 minutes long. It will take along time to watch all.

Their was also a NES game years ago

Destiny of the Emperor, for nintendo quite old and fun.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The book, that is. Good way to spend your time in a line.

The anime souten kouro is good(main character is Cao Cao) also to check out the manga Ravages of time which has Sima Yi as the main character.(there will be a bit of confusion as there are many characters). I've read the book a long time ago a bit difficult due to different names and the many characters. I was able to finish though.

Unfortunately i know of that one, I keep that one out on purpose.
mainly because it does not really follow the Lore and infact if a anime/manga shows you Loli Lord Lu Bu's panties in the first few scenes. IT IS CLEAR ITS MADE FOR ANOTHER AUDIENCE. Please consume that media in secret. Do not pursue Loli Lu Bu!

Oh I like how that 'Ravages of Time' sounds, I really like Sima Yi, even tho hes under the heel of his wife like in DW8

In Ravages of Time Diao Chan is a man, without his dong.

I'm reading through the Romance of the Three Kingdoms books. Half way through the second book and it's a great read thus far. Jia Xu is quickly becoming my favorite character.

Koei also has another game series called Romance of the Three Kingdoms. They're strategy games focusing on tactics and existing in the time period. You can get 11 on the PC but the rest are old PS2 games. I highly recommend 8 and 10 if you can track them down, especially if you're into RPG's.

Rot#k 11 is tough. You can get part 4 for PC that one is easier for first time people and a little more fuun in amany ways. ROT#K "wall of fire"

I'm liking ROTK XI so far. Harder to get into than say Age of Empires or any Total War game, but definitely not as hard as a full-blown grand strategy game like Crusader Kings 2.

@Emeal4EarlyAccess:

With Sima Yi being one of my favorites ever since DW3, I kinda love his portrayal here in DW8. He's like some Silver Age super villain who married and is now just trying to be a normal husband.

@King of Wei:

I hope you'll also love the 3rd book (I think) with Zhuge Liang's and Zhou Yu's little rivalry. The game doesn't really go into all the shenanigans XD

You guys liek the book combo. When I got it years ago it was two books. About 700 pages each. They made it three books so it was easier to read and carry. The 2010 DvD series is good, not lots of action but lots of dialog.

@kasain:

Well, the novel isn't really a non-stop, action-packed thrill ride either. Note how the Story Mode almost always mentions how "x years have past since the last level" or something XD

Of course, how many times did they restock an army. Lol if your going to do that you need your population to age and grow up. So years must pass. I was just saying its not a standard TV show a USA person would relate to with all the TV we watch. I liked it though.
