In the case of this game and many ♥♥♥ developers, they tend to make console versions look better, just to make peasants believe consoles somehow are better than pc lol.
as a rule of thumb, you're right, but a game like this will never be designed for pc first. And ports can be pure garbage. Arkham knight anyone?
I use a ps4 controller with InputMapper and i've had 0 problems, also did not have to configure anything.
I'm not sure why people think ps4 looks and runs better. Maybe people didn't realise there are settings...?
Or having a potato pc would do that i guess.
Can also bump up settings via GPU.
Camera control is really weird that i can agree with.
Another problem is that the UI is pretty big.
Probably because the port has only PS3 textures and effects with PS4 models, as opposed to PS4 textures and effects. Same with Samurai Warriors 4-II. In the latter case its not that visible though, because SW4-II has generally more effects, so the screen is a bit more "busy" than DW8's, so the PS3 textures don't fall into view as much.
I did not know that, never played the PS4 version so i only assumed.
it works great
