Yes.

Depends on what you want really. Good story that focuses on only a few people, or an OK story that focuses on almost everyone.

Plus, I find the side modes in DW7 much better than in DW8, but then again, DW8 has more weapons.

Plus about the price difference, DW8 is actually more expensive including the DLC, while 7 has all DLC from the start.

Is dw7 the one that focuses on everyone? Last DW game I played was 5 and I liked how every character had story cutscenes in battles. Like when you hold the bridge as Zhang Fei. Or when Liu Bei faces his wife on the battlefield. Not part of the main story but cool cutscenes you can find if the battle plays out in a certain way.

Well the story mode in 7 is more limited, in that each stage is assigned to a specific character, and you can't play as anyone else for that stage outside of free mode. 8 usually gives you a choice between three characters relevant to that stage to play as. Not really a make it or break it deal but some people might find that annoying if they get stuck with a character they don't enjoy playing as.

As pointed out, 8 has more weapons, a larger moveset too. 7 already has all dlc available in the game from the start. 8 has a definitive edition with all dlc, but that's only on the Switch. So if the dlc matters to you, 7 is the better option. Beyond that is really a matter of how important the extra modes and extra characters are to you, since 8 will have a larger roster.

I'd go with 7, port is better and it's the DE, where-as the DE for this hasn't been released for PC...hopefully they will and I'd grab it then. But this version pales in comparison with the DE of 7. I would hope that since they did do a really good DE port of 7, that they may be taking the time to do a port of DW8-DE that's a good quality as 7. We can hope anyway. either way, no use in getting this only to have to buy a superior version later. especially since we already KNOW a DE of this has been made, and are only waiting for them to move /upgrade it for PC.

same thing to me however, as I have zero desire or intention of buying form the MS store and getting mixed up in their spam, my library is split enough..lol not to mention I don't think MSStore even knows there is such a word as "Sale"...Least I've never seen one there of any relevance, as is to be expected...lol

The DW 8 complete edition has more content then the xtreme edition. From what I read the Xtreme edition is DLC only and no base game. Complete is BASE plus DLC

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

This is a problem with KOEI........ releasing 10 versions of every game you can't figure anything out

Last post was back in 2019. I would be shocked if anyone from the above still has this game installed, much less checks the forums.
