How well does this game play on keyboard and mouse?

theres no mouse controls however you can reconfigure the keyboard to a better layout
uhjk for attacks and jumping
7yin for the camera
wasd is already set
use enter for start and tab for select
shift for block
then use whatever you want for rage, horse and weapon switch
now its cofigured like a console controler

Wait, no mouse controls? Welp, that's a no-sale then. I am not playing without a mouse in a PC-port of a game FROM 2014.

how you expect to play this game with a mouse?

I have been playing the game on Keyboard only, the only issue i have is when you need to aim with the vehicles in some missions but those are too far in between that it dosent matter, i found this conffig of keys more confortable:
WASD+Space Key -> Movement
Keypad #4,5,6,2 -> Normal Attack, Strong Attack, Mousou Attack, Call Horse (Respectively)
Arrow Keys -> Camera Movement (Rarely Needed)
Q Key, E Key -> Switch weapons, Rage (Respectively)
Shift Key -> Guard

Its not the best but it beats spending to buy a controller just for a game that dosent have full support of them lol.

EDIT: Quick tip, while you're playing its going to be a chore moving the camera with only keyboard, so what i do is use the guard key (Shift) to quickly face the camera towards where your character is facing.

@Thrilled Oaf and others, in case it hasn't been said as I am still only reading the first page, to change your key bindings I pressed "Ctrl" and entered the "Battlefield. Keyed down to "Options", then to Controller", down to "Button Settings" then entered here and by moving to the key I wanted to change, then hit "enter" picked my new key, "Enter" to accept the new bind and from there formulated a better playing system. Yeah you don't get a mouse to turn and look, but it's pretty smooth if the key binds meet you style.

Controller user here. Aiming isn't much easier for us, lol. The vehicle controls just aren't good period.
