Looking at Koei's PC release history, DW9 will most likely be 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio and resolution locked with 1440p being the max. Good to know as I'll NOT be supporting this title on PC if this is the case.
You might want to look a bit harder, because with the exception of Toukiden 2 all releases of the past year were running in 4k.
I do however worry a bit what the framerate on DW9 will be like... Koei is sort of unskilled at optimizing their games.
I should've been more clear, but the 1440p speculation was from the comment from the inverview stating that the Xbox 4k will up upscaled from 1440p. Hopefully this will not be the case with the PC release.
Your loss.
Actually, their loss as I used to buy Japanese Treasure Musou Boxes before Koei made the shift to release titles on PC.
Thanks again for your useless contribution to this thread.
You must have a really high sense of self importance if you think the devs are losing out since you don't want to buy the game because of a silly reason,It's just the usual PC mustard race elitist dribble.
A useless contribution for a useless thread, you are welcome.
Not a useless contribution as I know many people question if the latest PC games will support ultrawide. You on the other hand, have done nothing but dish out insults and useless posts that does nothing for this community. I'm sorry that you don't have an ultrawide monitor but hey if running this game on a 486/DX2 with 2MB RAM on 640x480 VGA will make you happy then so be it.
On that note, if this game is indeed resolution locked this means it will not support multi-monitor as well, which is another pity. I sincerely hope that Tecmo-Koei take some serious lessons from their Square-Enix buddies on their PC releases. Final Fantasy XII, a 12 year old game that's coming out on the PC will support 21:9. Now that's commitment to the PC platform.
Where is the Steam page for the game anyway? This might get delayed for all we know.. I hope that is not the case.
This is not about questioning whether it has it or not, it's nice to know but the fact is you just outright won't buy the game hence a useless thread just bragging how you won't be buying the game to show off your self elitism.
Classic mustard race strawman is to assume those who disagree have a low end pc with a tiny monitor , keep being salty and sip on that coolaid kid while the rest have fun when the game is released.
Want to do something about the community? Hows about arguing what would make better gameplay instead of having a tantrum over resolutions.
There are many other games that support super widescreen, it's nice to have but it would never be a dealbreaker for me and many others whether the game is old or not except for mustard elitists like yourself.
Yeah i'd like to see more options too, it's always been bare boned with little leeway and i don't think it's got a steam page yet.
I don't see how stating what I'm willing to support or what I'd like to see in PC gaming is showing elitism.
No idea what you're talking about here. I'm sorry I don't understand the language of donkies.
This is like saying since I have the most low end PC, developers shouldn't make their software work for high end customers. I honestly don't understand this logic.
Part PC gaming is about using the latest and greatest hardware and being able to customize every aspect of gaming. If you're so narrowminded about that then you really should just pick up a console and play games that way. That will solve a lot of your future issues with PC gaming.
Agreed with you on the graphic settings, but I'm not holding my breath looking at their track record.
From one of the interviews with TK, it sounds like the Steam DW9 page won't be up until (or very close to) the day of release.
It has to be before, otherwise how will we get the pre order bonus costumes?
Sometimes they offer the pre-order bonus and 10% off as an early bonus for the first week purchasers. This is all speculation of course. We're super close to release so I'm sure there will be more info in the days to come.
