It is an avarage female, atleast from an American perspective.
The male version will be showcased closer to release

The main character is supposed to be an androgynous they/them one size fits all. The main story revolves around gender issues and the discovery of their nonbinary gender identity. A particularly innovative theme being on anti-objectification by the male gaze, this is achieved by the character design taking inspiration from the hit game Concord.

its avarage human from avarage human perspective, people who have fixation on appearance are called "narcissist's", and there is a lot of narcissism in modern society. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Culture_of_Narcissism

the players complaining about their look have grown up with the fake nose job portrayal of women in Hollywood, they have never touched grass and they have never seen a real woman. Also, kindly remember that 60% of women in the population weigh more than those portrayed in Hollywood, they need to be represented in video games too.

hopefully you will be able to morph features of your character during the playthrough, like in other Fable titles. it would be interesting to see, for example if you choose choices based on feminine/masculine gender roles, your character become more muscular or more frail. for example if you want to be submissive in quests you are frail but when dominant you grow muscles.
what i care about is guts of the game, the mechanics, hopefully they wont dumb it down and make it completely linear. fable was always the game where choices mattered.

I don't care what people look like in real life.
I care about what the character I play in a game looks like and I want to make a character that I like and no one else's because that's my decision and no one else's.
this whole thing about making games more real annoys me.
it's the same as with movies and series.
about how they have to be more real and the characters should be more real.
I don't go to the cinema to walk around the street watching the same crap.
I want to be entertained and not be bored to death and besides nobody loves ugly things.
or are people hanging chains made of ♥♥♥♥ around their necks and putting rings made of dirt on their fingers.
or do we eat our food raw and disgusting because it has to look more like the animal we kill for or the vegetables that we pull straight out of the ground.
probably not.
we prepare it because it should look tasty and beautiful and not disgusting.
that should be the case with everything.
at least that's my opinion.

If I want to touch grass and look at ugly people, I would go outside. This is a videogame, not the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reality, I'm trying to escape from for a couple of hours.

Make it optional then or watch your company going broke. Again: videogames/movies ≠ reality. Make it reality and there is no reason to buy them. We already have reality at home.

Why do they "need" to be represented exactly? What is the "need"? This is not a charity but a commercial product designed to make profit. The target audience rejects her design because it's unappealing, disregarding their feedback will hurt sales. Look at the Sonic movie and how the vast negative feedback regarding Sonic's character design was heard by the movie producers and they in turn remade and improved Sonic's design. Movie went on to make a profit.

Would you go to a car dealer and go out of your way to buy the ugliest car in the lot? Maybe you would, but most would buy the conventionally attractive car. Ignoring the demands of the market and your target audience will inevitably lead this game to lose sales, and for what? To make ugly people feel better about themselves? Ugly people can better themselves by exercising, improved grooming and make-up. Games should not act like a charity delivering therapy to the masses.

I am hoping for a few base main characters to morph and customise during the story. I would ignore the fetish cultists trying to make all games into coomer games.

every single fable trailer for any fable game on earth has used ONE main character for trailer materials. since 2008 you can choose. fake fans or amnesia?

Lets hope so or this game is DoA. When I play a male MC its not some tiny bald dude with a pot belly either :steamlaughcry:.
SBI is involved, don't expect the game to be any good lmao.
