Let me start off by saying that I am at fault for the entire lack of communication here. There is no justifying it and I will put myself in that hole of submission. I didn't make the right choice to find someone to help me with making public statements because yes I am not good with doing that. But I want to fix this.

Secondly, I am still working on the models. They are not final. Thats it. I won't write a manifesto about that. I will fix this.

Third, I apologize for taking so long on the update. I made bad choices in wanting to create something big but as with all development stories it ended up blowing up in my face. But I will pick myself up and fix this. This game is a passion project to me.

Fourth, I made bad choices in the midst of all this and I did share a private build for a moment on my support discord to sort some things out. I removed all the test branches for the time being. When I get all this ♥♥♥♥ sorted out I will bring back public test builds.

Fifth, I am not good with my words and I do make many mistakes. I understand the anger, I am learning.

Lay it on me, say what comes to your mind. I am responsible and I will fix this for you the best I can.

I'm glad you're picking yourself up and continuing your work on this game. Even with the lack of communication I do think the backlash was way too much as at the end of the day, you are a single person developing this game. I'm sure you appreciate any feedback that's given for the test/beta builds, but a lot of what I saw wasn't feedback and some of it could even be seen as harassment.

to be frank it should not have gotten as bad as it did, and that is not remotely your fault
like, i'll admit i have issues with your communication on the game, but there's a sizable gap between "the dev is too quiet about their game they're the sole developer on" and "the dev deserves to be the villain of two social media platforms for several hours", and you did not come anywhere close to crossing it

Communication is key. Thanks for coming out here to clarify. This community needed it.

Make the game how you want to make it, after all it is your game that you're making. I don't see anyone else working on it. Of course the community is important, but don't let the minority of people dictate what you should and shouldn't do, you should just be focusing on what you have planned out.

One thing I've noticed a few games do, when they make massive changes, is they keep previous builds available to people, usually in the steam beta tab etc. That might be something to look into doing, for archive purposes and for people that complain about new features and such.

Honestly, just do what you have planned out to do, but also keep clarity with the community as well. Maybe look at having some volunteers or something to handle PR for you and deal with people so that you can focus on development? Or even so, if you are comfortable with it maybe look at having some people help out with development? Just take care of yourself dude and don't let the drama get to you. I and i'm sure most of the community want you to keep working on this project.

I'm alright with the slow progress of the game, especially with the vision you want to make it be. I'd rather have slow but though out mechanics than hastily shoved in mechanics that add nothing. I have hope you'll add more zones, flesh out the fishing and keep combat fun with the slower updates

I admit, I've ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and complained with how long the update is taking in private, but I always end it with "these things take time." Regardless of some mishaps or frustrations, this game is great and ultimately should take as long as is needed. It will be worth it and I appreciate the work you're putting into this.
