Why do selected equipment and cosmetics stay in the inventory and not move to the slot?
I just thought of a very quick question.. Why is it that equipment that you put on, including cosmetics, just stay in your inventory and not just stay exclusively in that slot?

Most games would take equipped items off of your main inventory and place them in the slot, but here they sit in the inventory, consuming slots. It would be like wearing your clothes and holding them at the same time.

Not trying to be rude, I just want to know the "why" behind it.

yeah i wondered that too, it's weird they take up space. Also means if you want to wear any vanity items then you need that in your inventory too, although it seems you can equip it, then take the vanity item out of your inventory but if you change the armor in that slot it loses the appereance

You do not need to keep vanity in your inventory, it's one and done. With the next update to vanity it won't even reset slots when you change gear.

Yeeaahh, most ARPGs do not keep your equipped items in your main inventory. I'm really hoping this game does the same soon.
Also maybe an inventory tab specifically for "Cosmetic" items. The items that have no stats and are literally labeled "cosmetic".

I know a few games like Runescape and it's Old School brother do this system as well, which leads to inventory management and whatnot.

I don't mind it personally, but like... it would be a nice change for my loot goblin brain.

Well you just answered the question. This game is built around old school aesthetics, and inventory management like this one is pretty old school. The moment I noticed how it worked I was like "Well this is nostalgic. May have to drop some commons once in awhile like the old days."

The most annoying part is if your item gets unequipped for any reason, such as being enchanted, you lose the transmog as well and have to reapply the illusion.

I dont mind them taking up space, but I feel that it would be better if they didn't. +1 to change this
