your medieval "warhammer fantasy" planet is just a lost planet in "chaoswarp" in wh40k universe, with no contact to the empire, that's why they have mediavel technology and society.
do your homework before talking with warhammer nerds... ;-)
edit: you should take a look at wh40k officer uniforms and compare it with ww2 german uniforms. damn, even the "empire eagle" looks like the "reichsadler"
Let's talk about the Aquila, which is latin for Eagle btw. The Aquila is a symbol of the Eastern Roman Empire. The double-headed imperial eagle is identical to the eagle on the flag of Albania which itself is based on Eastern Roman Empire iconography.
This eagle is not a 40k thing, nor is it a Nazi thing. It's Roman. The Reichsadler was a direct ripoff of the Roman Aquila, you have your sources of inspiration ass-backwards. Do a google search for Albanian Flag and Eastern Roman Empire and try again.
As for 40k, it's based upon Russian WW2 uniforms not Nazi uniforms. Commisars and the Imperial Guard are 100% Russian influenced. Don't believe me? Look it up. You have no idea what you are talking about if you mention the Waffen SS and 40k in the same sentence.
And finally in Warhammer Fantasy the Empire is based up 18th and 19th century Germany. Full stop. It is not the Imperium of 40k, and has nothing in common with 40k. Look at the original German Flag from the unification of 1871. Then look at the Warhammer Empire flag.
Do your own homework.
And Kes already stated Blood and Honour was removed as a warband name. Who cares if it's still in this thread, it's been removed from the actual game itself which is all that matters.
however you are wrong in the point that warhammer, warhammer 40k, necromunda and also mordheim are not linked together. before i scan any rulebooks cause of copyrights and laziness, google search ftw:
http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Warhammer_Fantasy#The_Warhammer_World_and_the_Warhammer_40.2C000_Universe
the book "Realm of Chaos - Slaves to Darkness" linked warhammer and wh40k in 1988.
edit: just for the lols, the ww1 roman soviet nazi aka commisar of wh40k.

How about forgetting the Nazi connotations and get rid of it because it is a RIDICULOUS sounding name for any Warband.
There is an abundance of juvenile and purile names - I had a Skaven Warband called the Merciful Slayers of Dragons...
Why put all the effort tnto making a dark and menacing game and then insert silly names that only serve to undermine the menace..
... Just saying...
If you take stuff out of it's context; that's two words combined and you turn into a nazi anywhere, pheew.. And someone thinks there might be nazis living in Mordheim.. it is actually as redicilous as stating that there might be, lets say.., necrons living.., in aa.., let's say germany...
Luckily the buddhists didn't lose the swastika to nazis ..ever.. ..Steel Legion did it.. And as for offtopic: good names alltogether..
In all sincerity, the majority of Warband names are just bad. For the most part, they lack any authenticity. The provenience of the names, should surely be taken from the Warhammer universe.
Not made up by a random name generator...
Skaven names are particularly poor. Not the unit names - But the names of the actual Warbands.
When I play a Warband with a ludicrous name - it shatters immersion for me. I would welcome a new selection of names that add flavour and realism rather than what, for the most apart we have now; which is a set of ill conceived Warband names.
I really don't understand why we can't name our own warbands, and perhaps leaders. If the worry is keeping it authentic, I think we can be trusted to think of more appropriate ones ourselves too.
Hooray!
Ironically when Mordheim was released the Mordheim music mix tape that Games Workshop had in their stores to help promote the game included "In the Temple of Love" by Sisters of Mercy among it's contents and it was the most recognisible of the tracks.
Nazis and Rascist would just abuse "Blood and Honour" and thats not necassary and I bet all of them would choose this name. I dont know where you are from, but "Blood and Honour" is in europe a very known neo-nazi organisation, to use their name as a warband name isn´t right. Btw by your way of arguing, it would be ok to call a skaven warband ku-klux-klan or something this way.
This game and the developers shouldn´t become part of those who accept and tolerate this or giving them a warband where they can have their warband named after the Hitler youths slogan.
Also one of the developers already said that this name would be removed, thank you
no its based upon the Holy Roman EMPIRE, which was earlier and included modern Germany as well as several other countries. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Roman_Empire
Anyway best to remove Blood & Honour if it has associations with facists.
