Unfortunately (or fortunately since that'd add opportunity for more connection bugs), there's nothing like that.

Too bad. I have found I enjoy playing 'with' friends, rather than against them.

Some Streamers had set up remote connection, so that one controlled half the Warband, the other the other half.

The best you can do is get Parsec and play coop on your own terms with one of your buddies(like buddie plays henchmen, you play leader+heroes).
Or you can just do a "player one gets leader, 2 heroes, 2 henchmen" and "player two gets 2 heroes, 3 henchmen".
But the game does sadly not have coop itself.
