Sign of Sigmar + Frenzy
I want to build some pretty fanatic/zealous sisters yet I value some sort of defense. So does this combination work? Frenzy is pretty vague with its "most combat non-combat skills".

It is not valuable because you will have to use 7 strategic points to activate this combination. Which means that you will have to be almost immobile.

Once you are in close combat being mobile is a bit of a non issue when you dont kill your foe to move again and frenzy users are kinda a good target anyway so they will draw attention.

You cannot use dodge with frenzy so the point is moot.

Sign of Sigmar increases your resistances. What you mean is Prayer of Swiftness.

Doh.

Not sure if you can use Sign with frenzy. All defensive stances are blocked including guard and defensive.

I know ignore pain works but never tried sign.

So I guess it boils down to trying it out... grrr.
Would be great though given that resistances are your only defense once you go frenzy.
Maybe I can convince myself to give it a try.

Once you are in combat. Which you need to get to.
If you use this abilities, you wont be able to follow your team.
If you use frenzy on one turn, and sign of sigmar on the next you will fall behind your team, or not even get to the combat in time. If you use them both, you will fall even more.
Not even saying that sign of sigmar is not worth 4 strategic points for what it gives. The ability is useless.

Passive skills work like anticipation. Might have to try it myself.

Unless sign of sigmar is a stance (which it ain't) it'll work.

@chaos man, really? If you're specifically avoiding skill combos that use ALL your SP you're doing it so wrong.
When you're moving you're moving. When you're fighting any SP that you aren't actively using are wasted potential.

Thanks very much for that answer.
Also yes, you are right. At last for my playstyle that has suited me well so far.

In Mordheim there is no such combo-stance which will protect you from death. The best way to fight is to go for a kill and then get out as fast as possible. If you use all your points to get into combat, you will have no points to get away, even if you kill the target. Therefore even after you kill someone you will just be standing in the middle of the street. Which is the worst scenario, because you will be killed. Even if the combo would give you 50% all resists you would still die.
What is important is to manage your points in such a way that the enemy receives maximum damage, while you receive none.
When fighting there are the delay and flee buttons.

I am not building a combo that prevents death. I am trying a combo that suits my army of zealous sisters of sigmar without completly sacrificing all defense.
Even if you are right in your claims my wish to build an army with a theme trumps my wish to minmax everything.

Note frenzy can last more than one turn so those 3 SP do NOT need to be spent every turn. You don't need to be in combat just in sight of an enemy.

Might have to modify my maiden frenzy build a bit.

Yep, as long as you are in the thick of battle everything is fine. As of now I am aiming my maiden to have, while in frenzy, 55% melee resist with sign, 240 ranged with sign (I know....) and 55% magic resist while frenzied with 55% absorb on top of 520 hp. Hope my excel is not betraying me. I know this is not a perfect build but I kinda like the maniac maiden, flailing stuff and being protected by sigmars blessings.

Sounds like min max glass cannon is your only valid playstyle then? Fair enough. I personally much prefer thematic variation like the OP.
