Dwarves, Elves, and Halfings....
Were they ever in the original board game? Otherwise, I 'd like to see them included in a DLC, unless those factions have now reason to be included of course.

There was an elven archer as a mercenary. Beyong that, I can't remember.

There was a Dwarf Troll Slayer as a hired sword as well, but no Warbands for them. As far as the tabletop game goes we basically have all the Warbands that it had in the original game. They split the human mercenaries up further, but I don't really see a need for that in this version.

The original Mordheim miniatures game had both a Dwarf Troll Slayer and an Elf Ranger as Hired Swords (and Hired Swords were handled very differently than in this computer game). The Mordheim supplemental magazines (Town Cryers) included a Dwarf Treasure Hunters warband and a elf warband called the Shadow Warriors (aka Sons of Nagarythe). I've seen a fan-made Halfling warband, however the closest Halflings got to more official inclusions was a Henchmen choice for an Averlanders warband in a Town Cryer.

There was a Halfling Cook hired sword in the table top as well. They had shadow elves and dark elves also (later). I made a chaos dwarf warband with black orc henchmen as well.

Dwarfs were fine but they did happen to make a ton of human warbands since Mordheim is in the empire. They really liked human variations for some reason. I would have thought that they would cover more of the main armies in warhammer to draw people in rather than human variations.

If your curious, all table top stuff is available for free now. They released most stuff on their own and the rest is pirated.

Suspected Safe Official Releases[mordheim-city-of-the-damned.fandom.com]

And you can find the rest on someones One Drive

Wait half a sec. Wasn't there orc & gobbo warbands as well as beastmen? Am I imagining things?

Yes. I believe they released Dwarfs and Orcs as soon as possible and Beastmen came later.

The list is actually really long.

Undead, Possessed, Skaven, Beastmen, Orcs, Lizardmen, Carnival of Chaos, Dwarfs, Dark Elves, Shadow Elves (bumped to non-official), Egyptian Undead

And the humans: Sisters, Reiklanders, Middenheimers, Marienburgers, Avelanders, Ostlanders, Pirates, Kislevites, Amazons, Witch Hunters, Norse

Probably more

You can find most of the expanded material at http://broheim.net/downloads.html. We still discuss this game at https://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/ and on the fb group "Mordheim" (where the original creator is still active).
