They won´t be perfect at Day1.
It will be fix after a while...
I use a TITAN GTX X, even a battleship of GPU and as this device was new, I have similar issues with games.
If you are first-buyer after a GPU-Release, you are the one who send information about problems to nvidia/amd to actualize the driver.
No company will check out 47.834 games of the last 2 years to prevent such effects...
yeah i appreciate its the newest series of chipset from nVidia, so it will be what it will be. But when it is causing a major system lock up i get a little worried seing as my spec cost me £1800 all in - id hate to develop bad sectors on the SSD / HDD from, repeated crashes and hard reboots. im under warranty with the company that built it and its free to return and get it tested for peace of mind - at present their stats indicate 10% of this GPU have been returned so i guess im one of them, and seeing as how we are all used to 3 95% misses in a row playing this game....
im playing it on my laptop fine which is 18 months old - on a i7 770HQ 16GB with GTX 1050Ti - as the other most recent poster said its likely to be an issue with nmewest chipet series or as i said before a bad unlucky card
Try using an older driver on that new card. New drivers can often be the source of instability.
You mentioned previously having an AMD card right? Did you make sure to uninstall the AMD drivers before inserting the Nvidia card and installing theirs? Make sure all previous drivers old or new, and especially drivers from other companies are fully uninstalled before installing any new driver.
Hope you get it working, Mordheim is a great game. =)
Turns out it was a bad card - i had errors in the on-board memory of the GPU. This was causing the visual issues and crashing.
I sent the card back and this was the findings during testing - occurring both in this game and outside in stress tests. New card installed and problem free gaming since.
Appreciate the reply (and reminder as a result to post this) So i will reply to your post specifically.
I did try 2 drivers prior to returning the PC - the one it was installed with and the newset release - both had no effect but i knew to try that.
And as for the AMD card - that is installed in my other (older) PC, this is a brand new fresh PC build custom made
Thanks again
