Healing
Is there any type of healing in the game besides potions and gas rats? I havent been able to really find anyway to heal my guys as the human mercenaries, besides the occasional wyrdstone heal.

Also not quite related but what is the best way to reduce crits? As my leader is always being crit on the first hit taken

Healing is Divine Magic exclusive to the Sisters of Sigmar. Mercs don't have access to it.

There is also Warrior Priest in Witchhunters band who have direct healing spell.

As for crit avoiding one might consider increasing toughness, set up appropriate perks for passive increasing crit resistance or some stances that help to avoid it or even damage itself. Also runes may be helpful where applicable though i'm not sure if there are ones that negating crits.

Here is great planning tool for bands:

You directly take away from an opponents crit hit chance by boosting your crit resistance. If your crit resistance is higher than an opponents crit hit chance, they cannot crit you.

Toughness and some skills increase your crit resistance. Some marks/runes in weapons and shields increase crit resistance also. Elven wine also increases crit resist for a short time.

When boosting your crit resist, scroll through opponents stats and see their crit hit chance. Use the information to your advantage when choosing who attacks what.

Alternatively, you can use skills and helmets to improve stun resistance and use poultice or skills to take away the open wounds recieved from a crit. You can have 100% stun resistance so you can avoid the worst part of crits. It is less efficient (especially since crits bypass armour) but can use less skill slots.

Mercenaries only gain Healing by Unlocking Warrior Priest from Reputation Rewards.

And, for Destruction, the Doomie also has a heal-for-attacks Idol of Blood. And Sisters have a crapton, as said above.

Other than those, no Healing beyond Potions.

Toughness increase your Crit resist by 1 point pr. Then theres Resilience require 9/15 toughness to get increase your CR by 10/20. And then theres a shield enchance cant recall the name and theres a weapon enchant named Luck that adds 5/10(B) 10/20(M). Shield enchant increase is the same i belive.

There is also an enchant wich have 50% chance to heal 15 hp each time you parry.

Some skills such as Reslient improve your crit resistance and runes such as Steel.

Rune of Luck on weapons and Rune of Steel on shields.

I find resilient a must take skill on any melee units. Undead have Body Reconstruction which is a cheaper version. Between the 9 Toughness to unlock resilient and the skill itself, 19 Crit Resist should be enough to avoid most AI Crit chances.

Crits are the quickest way to lose a unit vs the AI, so it is VERY important.

Indeed and yea get 20 or above and your usually in the clear against AI.. Tho sometimes you will see a marauder with capped accuracy.. Hits like a blind man but if he hits...
