Strongest late game warband in PvP ?

Whichever is being played by the strongest player.

I'm not making a semantic argument here, my opinion is that the best players are able to build very strong warbands in any of the 6 available. More importantly though, they are able to use them to their potential: they don't get caught out of position, they set up their units against the opposition to prevent them playing well (eg. Daredevil cheerleader? Have this 125 dodge-chance damage sponge), they select targets impeccably, they know the counters (consumables and builds) to all the skills, and they calculate damage potential on the fly to decide whether or not to risk an engagement.
They probably do some other next-level stuff that's way over my head as well.

i agree with this.
Kriscardiac in a perfect world i would have to agree with you. However it is to my experience that most games are not perfectly balanced. If they were then I would have to agree with your statement. Yes the better player will always have an advantage of sorts (even with an inferior warband, team, etc) but when 2 players of equal calibre have 2 different warbands then naturally the strengths of one will offset or tip the balance in favour of that player. I guess I was just wondering if one warband was slightly more overtuned than the rest assuming players were of equal skill.

In that particular laboratory? Then it will most likely come down to that great leveller RnGesus.

Mercs tend to prosper for having the best Shooting combined with some of the best Tanks. Which is a nice combination that plays well together. And they have the most versatility.

Witch Hunters are just generally very strong, if a bit less well rounded.
Thanks Paranoia. I am kind of sad to hear that. Although it will not stop me from trying them out they are definately the warband(s) I have the least interest in playing lol.

They are generally the new Player friendly Warbands. Undead, Skaven and Cult have complicated mechanics that are pretty hard to master.
Yeah so far I have managed to get the hang of the Undead and a little bit for the Skaven. I tend to favour the Undead play style the most so far. I have never really been a fan of any of the "new player friendly" type in any of the games I play. I was going to try the sisters and mess around with the comet bombardment but might give mercs a go first just to see.

Sisters are best experienced making use of K:Mordheim and Exhaustion since one has Healing Circle. Means that one has immense mobility.
Skaven all the way baby
