Defensive stance and parry ?

Hi,

I saw Kalrond had a character with 110% Parry and Defensive stance skill.
What is the use of having 110% parry if you use Defensive Stance ? (Except if you can parry after stance but it is said to end turn)

Not much use. But 110% parry is what you have when you have weapon skill 20, shield specialist mastery and purple shield. So 110% parry is just free side effect for melee defense build with weapon skill 20.

Parry can only be used against the first successful attack (assuming it doesn't ignore parry)
Defensive Stance is good against every melee attack for the whole turn.

I was obsessed with the parry skill and Web-of-Steel when I first started playing. Little did I know that the most dangerous units can bypass it all together. So DS would appear to be the more reliable defensive skill.

The only unit I would consider having both WOS and DS is a Merc leader, as there is a natural synergy with his innate passive.
