1: Poison Resistance is a thing.
2: Most Undead are Immune to Poison.
Poison is supposed to be used with Poison Expert Skill.
And your story was appreciated, it was amusing. :)
In this particular story, the character in question that didn't take Poison Damage was a Knight Templar. When I saw that they had failed their poison resistance roll on the weeping blade hits, I thought I had the kill in the bag. Unfortunately, it seems I forgot to account for other variables.
It's been so long that I can't remember for the life of me if they roll poison resist for every single instance of weeping poison on their turn or only on application, but that could have been what happened; someone else had two instances of it on them and only took one tick (They had somewhere around 9-15 HP and they had two instances of the lowest tier weeping poison on them, which does a minimum of 8 damage, and they survived long enough to take their turn.
