I've never used Augurs in my SoS WB's, either, for the same reason.
I suppose it'd be more useful in PvP, but still...
yea depending on your playstyle its situational to scout if enemies are in a building or around the corner where you have no line of sight on the map which happens sometimes with the AI
proabably better in PVP but still no need for perception if you got range backing you up with a decent melee line and the traps majority of the time if I am paying attention I can tell where they are or might be
So many better mutations too so I guess I will play him as a reserve or fire him luckily its his first mutation on the possesed
plus 1
and one could argue the other mutations available would be better for PVP aswell
The thing is, there was unlimited attempts to use Perception, instead of until success like now, meaning that with free Perception one could nudge oneself through the whole map in one turn.
Blocking that however, not doing of which was not an option, screwed this Mutation and Augur, and hard.
It has a bit more use when doing a deadly challenge with a "no overhead map" rule. :)
I still think that there should have been a Veteran Skill with a quite immense effect, but with penalty that, at Basic, reduces Backtracking to 1, and, at Mastery, removes access to Overhead Map. I just had trouble coming up with a suitable compensation.
Thought about +1/M+2 Experience per Mission.
Yup the possesed hero with it looks like the creature in Pans labrynth with the eyes on the hands , but is defitnetily not worth it especialy on posessed where his first mutation should be an arm as he starts with armbands already
I might consider taking it on a range mutant but even then as I said I like Globadiers for range they are more accurate , they get posions for debuffs aswell can heal
yea I lucked out with my first mutant on this warband , he has claw foot and thousand eyes , one off from possiblely making him range although I am running a globadier that I just think has more utility them him with what he could do with range
so I may just make him an MR tank I hope he gets an arm mutation in his main hand so I can use a shield
I'd hope that his 3rd mutation enables him to weild a great sword tbh..
Getting them is hard, they do do great dps with right sword etc.
I run with a glob, basically for his shooting.
He only heals occasionly, with is a massive bonus
