Act 1-1 undead. Really confused.

I have officially spent 43 turns going through this map systematically looting the library. Everything is dead, the curator was easy as ♥♥♥♥, but I can't find the 1st and 2nd tomes or whatever they're called, I've gone through all section of the map and find nothing but dusty old tomes, I have raided all points and cannot find the 1st and 2nd ones at all, hence I am TRAPPED IN THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LIBRARY. Anybody have any idea what gives?

Have you figured out the portals?

The tomes you're looking for can be found by using those. I Don't recall exactly which ones you have to take to get to them, but they're there.

And remember that the initial hall has 2 portals too.

Search all the bookshelves and make sure to check every portal in the Blue/Red room.

Yes I have figured out the portals, and I have slowly and with little success gone through all of them, achingly and turn by turn, I guess the search continues for another 40 turns before I can play my best warband again.

Makes me feel bad for having cleared the thing in twelve or so turns...

I had major problems in the library too, until I discovered that, on one of the upper level teleport destinations, there is a ramp that goes down, and lets you jump down to the level where the Curator is. Took me ages to figure out. I hope this helps you out a bit.

I managed to get through it the other day. There was 1 place I hand't checked because any characters I had there had full inventories and I didn't think anything of it. That being said a few good pieces of advice for anyone else that is even thinking of doing the mission: Large characters that can't pick anything up, while powerful, are pretty much useless since they can't jump/climb, carry inventory etc. Lotta navigation in this that can't be traveleld by them. Also, IGNORE DUSTY TOMES, totally valueless and they just take up inventory space. If you knew to systematically search for all those itmes you might actually finish this level quickly, but having to slog one turn cycyle at a time through a fairly large level is so painful and disheartening. It'd be nice if everything was dead you could roam freely with the dramatis personae or something and just search around without having to slog through turn by turn, really leaves a bad taste.
