Discarding that, I'd sayNecromancer is an absolute beast when used correctly.
not so much for his poison but because he can naturally have all important stats high enough to master important skills.
he can master Knowledge of mordheim, exhaustion, and has access with a book to both accuracy master skills and ballistic master skills at the same time.
all for the cost of...wait, for no cost; he actually has 7 m movement, thats +1 compared to a normal non rat troop.
the globadier is the best support archer in game.
that and yup, he's got poison and globes.
On the Chaos side I love me some Doomweavers. They make awesome tanks that can do some shady magic ♥♥♥♥ in an emergency if they bring along some consumables.
Even against stronger Warbands she charges an enemy, kills it and charges the next one, one or 2 turns later. And even if she walks into a trap and got 3 Enemies fighting her she usualy tank them long enough for some reinforcements to arrive.
in 9 out of 10 Games she gets the best Warrior Award.
Agree on this one for damage dealer/critter and is also very available to every "order" band (level 4 rep on second faction).
For melee tanking it depends on the band I'm playing, Templar knight or Champion :).
Honourable mentions go to Dreg, Necromancer, and WarriorPriest.
Best tank I'd say is Mutant (MR), Wolf Priest (Armour), Captain (Parry), and WH Captain (Dodge).
Wolf Priest wins on Armour tanking because he can selfbuff and additional 20% dmg reduction.
Best Melee dmg is Marauder, imo, simply because of Blood Offering. With 20 Str, Daredevil, Frenzy, and Blood Offering, he can do more than 420 dmg per turn (non-crit) with a Great Axe.
Best Ranged dmg is Marksmen, because ofc it is.
Best dmg caster I'd say Doomweaver. The dmg potential of Idol of Change + Burning Blood is just insane, and Daub of Hatred means he can get up to +90% spell dmg.
Best support caster is probably Warrior Priest.
Best overall.... no idea.
It is a credit to the game that there isn't one.
