If one wants somewhat more Counterattacks, Swift Counter allows one to better make use of the 1OP retaliations his Passive allows.
WH hero (with runes and maybe books) is good enough for ranged combat IMO with his high accuracy hence crit chance, in case you want your leader for melee.
Have blunderbuss and if melee he has 70%melee resist +20% def stance, and if happens to be in deny the heretic spell 105% melee resist
Multihits.
around 60-70 per hit
He's pretty strong at both range and melee.
For the enchant on the crossbow pistols: misfortune or perforation (or something else)?
Depends on your accuracy and crit %. If your reliant on crits, no point in armor penetration. A crit allready penetrates armor, so armor penetration from enchant, only applies to normal hits.
I reserve armor penetration for NON CRIT shooters, as they are the ones that benfit most from it. For any crit based shooter, either critting more often, or critting more devastatingly is better in my opinion.
