51% winrate celestial?

I'm currently C3 and I just got matched with someone with a 51% winrate also ranked celestial... 416 games played 212 wins, played like a can and blamed it on lag and his teammates.

How is it possible to make it to one of the top ranks with a 51% winrate? They need to rework the entire ranked system imo.

because the game rewards playtime and gives players a incentive to get high ranks with sub optimal win rates it has a very lenient point system by design.

u can climb to diamond 3 and have 45% of winrate like i did

Idk if you failed basic math but a 51% winrate means they're winning more than they lose aka climbing.

That's how ranked is designed; as long as you grind it you can be whatever rank you like.

This is also why what rank you are means absolutely nothing except for what season rewards you get which is why I don't see any reason to go past gold. The skin is the only worthwhile reward IMO.
