Certainly I agree that brand new players should not be matched against high skilled players, currently though I believe if they are there are likely low and high skilled players on both teams.
Nah... I lost 2 today and got bots as 3rd as always.
People complain about bots in quick play but even those those bots play better than majority of teams as you level up.
If so, then it doesn't matter what their rank in Competitive is, if they're consistently on a hero they play badly on, their MMR will be close to yours.
Atleast that's what it was like in overwatch. I used to check peoples stats after every game and i found that people don't play their best heroes in QP. A GM Mercy in Competitive can also be a Bronze Genji in Quickplay. If their MMR is low enough to get matched with you, that means he's always on Genji.
Honestly not surprised. One time in Overwatch, i was pretty proud of myself for constantly soloing the enemy team. Until i checked their stats and realized all of them, including the tank, were mercy mains. You can have 12 people in the game and often times, only one or two of them is on a hero they're actually good at.
This is a non issue....
It's because not caring about normal matches, i go in there first timing chars. Only people who care about this are scared to que ranked
Players will exploit it and this is an example of what it leads too..
The developer isn't going to do anything about it as removing matchmaking ablity to be exploited, also removes its ablity to serve as a marketing tool.
So you have 3 options..
Cope, learn grow and improve as a player, or start exploiting matchmaking too
