Are hitboxes completely broken or is it me?
seriously, i can have the enemy right in my sights and eevry shot will somehow miss, even when i have the wole team in a choke point my shoots will land nowhere

It's not just you, it's pretty terrible. The aim feels floaty and bad too. It wasn't as bad when we could turn off the mouse acceleration in the .ini, but they took that away and it feels worse than before. Every week they add 5 ping, too. The shots fire off because your view is actually off over the should a bit, so it makes shooting around corners work like ♥♥♥♥ from one side in particular and shots are biased because your gun is actually off to the left and not directly behind your reticle. When you are aiming a bit off to the right of a target, you are pointing at the wall behind them, which may put them right between your targeted point and your gun resulting in a hit. Either way, it's been done better before, and I don't think it's ever been worse.

If this is a projectile hero, then the ACTUAL crosshair is shifted towards the right. This is a third person perspective issue.

Any hero pretty much, no matter if hitscan or delayed, shoots seem to always miss by a milimeter or hit when they shouldnt
It depends on the hero. the hit box is VERY generous to heroes like spiderman and iron fist. It's generous with Hawkeye. It's not so much with punisher. Depends on who you pick.
Of course. The engine is jank as hell.

Hitboxes literally change in size depending on your frame rate, lol.

Tuth. If you really want to practice precision shooting in the game, don't use Hawkeye or Hela. Use Punisher. Hawkeye and Hela have aim assist level hitboxes.
The term some people here mean is "hurt" box. Hurt box is the "attack", hitbox is the thing that gets hit.

You have that backwards and if you use common sense anyway it would tell you the thing being ATTACKED is what has the HURTbox...

Hitboxes are client side with serverside hit response (the hit sounds) currently, if your getting noregs it might very well be a connection issue either on your end or the server, or both.

If your playing e.g punisher or starlord it might also very well be a skill issue as well as you need to be pinpoint accurate.. and i am saying this as i have no issues hitting with hitscan, if i am not hitting i am quite literally wiffing shots for one reason or another because of the need to be pinpoint. (which can be easily shown if you record your games and look back at them... don't go off of the replays as they are serverside and not accurate)

What i have found though is some weirdness with projectile heroes like mantis where similarly aimed shots will MISS if i am holding down to shoot, but will more often than not hit while tapping shots out instead.
It's likely server lag aka 'nohitreg'.. in games like these sometimes the data just doesn't register (lost packets).
Nothing is 100% in online gaming.. even single player offline games sometimes miscalculate.
Basically: NOTHING is perfect. The only thing that is perfect is NOTHING.
Technology is only as good as the one's who design/engineer it, and the ones who do are clearly not perfect. It'll always be in some way lesser than their creations.
Virtually ALL of Nature & Humankind's creations will have some sort of flaws/imperfections. Sucks :steamsad:

it's on server, like I do twice less damage when playing mm compared to training room

Ive had the opposite experience. Projectile chars like Mantis tend to be more accurate for me, and Ive been getting hit from behind walls when the enemy didnt even shoot (not even on replay.) It's very annoying, but i guess it's latency? My ping is less than 70ms so idk. I dont have this problem on any other shooter so it must be a server issue.

From my experience both spiderman and buckey shoot tires instead of accurate size
Because the game is 3rd person there are some funky interactions. Like the most notable thing is they do things that make aiming somewhat inconsistent.

Psylocke alternates between shooting with her left and and right hand, which actually throws off her aim very slightly since it actually changes the direction the shots come from. They don't do the thing like in overwatch where the shots just come from below where the camera is centered.

The most noticable one is definitely Venom. If you try to hit someone who is directly in your face the tentacles acting the way they are makes it harder to hit all 4 hits.

Its a case of them trying to be TOO accurate with how characters feel to play.
