Honest Opinion So Far
Here's an honest take on Marvel Rivals from my experience:

I’ve played Marvel Rivals since the beta, and unfortunately, not much has changed. The biggest issue with the game is that it's not team-oriented at all. It feels like everyone is just doing their own thing, and honestly, I don’t think that’s a player problem it’s a flaw in the design and balancing of the game itself. There’s a clear lack of coordination and emphasis on teamplay, which makes it hard to really enjoy the experience in a meaningful way.

What’s even more frustrating is that the game has issues that were pointed out in the beta and are still present today. The frame rate issues, the stuttering, and performance drops are all still there, despite promises that these would be worked on. And honestly, the fact that it’s been so long since the last playtest makes it hard to stay hopeful that these issues will be addressed soon. I get that some players say the game is running well for them, but in reality, it’s more of an issue with UE5 and how it interacts with certain PC components. Even with a high end rig, like a $4,000 PC, I’m still seeing stuttering and frame drops, so it’s clear that the problem runs deeper than just individual setups.

Now, while the game can be enjoyable for short bursts, it eventually becomes repetitive, and if you’ve ever played a melee based mobile game, you’ll probably notice a lot of similarities. The mechanics feel a bit shallow and lack the depth that would keep players coming back for the long term. The game has a lot of potential, but it really needs a lot of work to get it to a point where it can maintain player engagement.

The reality is that players today don’t have the patience to stick around and wait for a game to get better especially when it’s clear that the issues aren’t being addressed quickly. If they don’t fix these fundamental problems by the end of this year, I don’t think this game will have much of a future. People just won’t stick around for something that isn’t improving, no matter how much potential it has. I’m not comparing it to Overwatch that game had years to grow, and it’s a whole different beast with a massive player base. But Marvel Rivals doesn’t have that luxury.

In short, unless the developers step up and make the necessary changes, I don’t see this game going far. I’m hoping for the best, but I’m not holding my breath.

There is no reason to create arguments in the comments just talk about it and how you feel. After reading posts in this discussion its like everyone commenting and posting is a child.

Also to my knowledge I don't believe there is a fix to the stuttering and fps drops so If anyone reading this knows the answer I would love to hear it. Thank You!

Yep, you're right. The game itsleft is not teamwork-based at all(thats why all shields has such a WIIIIIDE range and we have like 1-2 healers), it could be more enjoyable if there was some depth mechanics, but for now this is pretty repetitive already after 4-5 matches on different characters. The game is so simple and easy what i didn't actually feel any complications playing on heroes with 4-5 difficulty lvl.

100% agree on the game not being a team game. It is similar to OW2, only way worse. OW2 changed the game design from OW1's slower, deliberate and team-oriented gameplay and made it run and gun, more mobile and free-for-all.

This game has the same basic DNA, and it's made worse by extremely unbalanced hero designs which were clearly intended for showboating. Tank role is largely a dive tank, some like Dr. Strange are "kind of" like tanks but their tanking abilities are frankly trash. The barrier balance is close to OW2 -- which is not a good thing. Dr. Strange's "reinhart shield" for instance is 800life? Same as Reinhart's in OW2. Whereas in OW1 it was 2000.

Healing is in a weird spot and all of the healers are actually DPS in disguise -- exactly like OW2. They are meant to duel with enemies and can easily beat tanks if you have the skill. There are no heroes that are really dedicated to support roles like Mercy was, and their killing power levels aren't drastically lower compared to how support heroes were in OW1. They are all meant to kill enemies. Even Jeff can kill tanks, quite easily I might add if you play your cards right.

Overall, fun little chaotic gameplay but it does not have the kind of team-oriented gameplay the original Overwatch had. The game is closer to Valorant or Paladins, and not even as in-depth as Paladins.

The only fix I did, was to set all settings to low, then restart my PC. When I came back I was smooth sailing at 120fps. But the game crashes after a few hours of play. And then you have to restart your PC again. Not a big dealbreaker, but still annoying.

Game is fun for short bursts, but gets old quick because of the lack of depth in mechanics and strategy. The janky animations are also a bit of an eyesore, and I really don't like third person in a shooter. Game has potential but as OP said if they haven't addressed the concerns since the beta, I doubt they ever will. The game is moving on hype and the Marvel license at the moment, but that won't carry the game if they don't fix it up.

I am always close to quitting as soon as a game starts if people don't team up: it's an almost guaranteed loss without teaming up characters. Terrible game.

The team part hit home for me. I have been playing this game and noticed there is zero coordination and people just go on their ways. So when you are getting bodied they turn around and say you are the problem when they are off doing things that don't even pertain to the mission and that has happened to me way too many times. To the point of frustration. People are treating it like it is a COD match rather than a team objective match.,

I feel this problem is because of the TTK being so low.

where do folks whom want to play with others in a organized team go to match up with one another?

Game isn't teamwork based? That's weird because last I checked, you instantly die as anyone in this game if you try and do your own thing. Also, nothing dies on the enemy team if you aren't coordinating. This is at high level though. All of what you said is definitely true in quickplay, which I imagine you're stuck in. It's definitely not in competitive once you hit plat 1 and above.

I don't get the complaints about depth beyond ults being braindead. The characters themselves have more going on than anyone in Overwatch does. Spider-Man and Rocket Raccoon have a bunch of movement tech. Quite a few characters have actual combos you have to build muscle memory for, which is something I never had to do in OW. A good number of characters have more abilities than anyone in Overwatch does. There is a lot of depth here, it's just being overshadowed by "Press Q to win".
