Idea: Change Cloak and Daggers “Dark Teleportation” to be instant

The problem with Cloak and Daggers “Dark Teleportation” ability is that you spend 90% of your time as Dagger. When an enemy uses an ability or ult that you want to “teleport” with that ability you first have to transform which take a second and then you can press the “Dark Teleportation” which also has a short animation. Even if you react instantly to things like strange ult, jeff ult, magneto ult etc.. you cannot counter them if you are not already transformed to cloak.

Ideas for Changes:
The transform from cloak to dagger and back is seamless and “just” a visual
LMB transform to dagger and heal (like dagger heals now)
RMB transform to cloak and suck (like cloak deals dmg now)
Ability 1: if dagger: healdome, if cloak instant fade everyone for 4 seconds
Ability 2: if dagger: healwindow, if cloak: blind/dmg window

The “Dark Teleportation” has to be instant when you press it so you can actually counter enemy abilities or ultimates. Your teammates cannot be uncloaked when they shoot or use abilities they will stay cloaked for 4 whole seconds.

Dude, what? Magnito literally yells about his Ult ... Jeff's also has a delay.

It's a normal move on a relatively short cooldown that can counter many Ults. And you want to ... buff .. it?

I agree with the last bit, teammates should not be uncloaked when they act however a prompt should pop up so they can cancel the effect, same should happen with the Jeff ult.

Other than that I think the abilities are fine as is. It keeps things balanced. Cloak&Dagger are imo the best support out there due to how much their kit offers. Sure there's no damage boosting but they are just great across the board and have a high chance of surviving ults and divers.

For those struggling against ults: focus on sound cues. As soon as you hear a Jeff use his ult, you have to swap to Cloak. As soon as his ring appears underneath u, u have to use your ability to protect yourself and your team.
Sound cues are one of the most important things when it comes to countering ults and divers and is something you need to practice on as a support. It is as important as your positioning and healing, if not more important as it is what will keep you alive.

Nah I like how it is now. Given how powerful it is, I think its fine for it to take a bit of preemptive action, reaction speed, and/or foresight.

Being invulnerable on a regular ability is pretty powerful, putting a bit of a skill check on it seems fine. I wouldn't mind if they don't put Baptiistes drone in this game.

And besides, if you've played enough overwatch, you should know that it's possible to predict when an ult is coming. I actually take the time to pause and type in that Sombra's about to EMP, or that everyone should back off the corner because Rein and Lucio are about to combo their ults.

I'm starting to get the rhythm of this game tho i've only been able to predict Jeffs ult so far since he's picked so often.

No one cares. This game isn't out there for Esports ♥♥♥♥ and if it was they would enforce a meta so they can balance it and patch it properly. The game is Arcadey fun and 90% of the people playing it(myself included) will never be in any league worth caring about mechanics.

I don't think they need to change their kit around, but I think lowering the global cooldown of the shift ability would help smooth out their gameplay a little. It feels a little clunky having to wait to change forms.

There's literally an esports tab in the game, 12 player factions where you can block people out for not hitting the rating you want, and an in-game achievement for signing up to play with people in your faction.

You should stop listening to whoever lied to you. It's a 6v6 competitive team game. The focus was always going to be on that.

I think the current way would be fine.... if it would actually work. Unfortunatelly, in the case of dark teleportation you are in the hands of server-sync gods. Sometimes it is enough to hold RMB during form switch, sometimes it won't fire even if you smash RMB like crazy.
